B Grade Turtles may have the following: shell imperfections, nipped tails, neck sore, eye issues, missing nails ect. B Grade Turtles Come With No Warranty Or Guarantee The Common Snapping Turtles (Chelydra serpentina serpentina) or North American Common Snapping turtles are known for having a very short temper and are also for being very aggressive. Common snapping turtles have a brownish to black colored carapace and a hooked upper jaw. They can be found in waterways throughout most of the United States, from east of the rocky mountains to Maine and from Canada down to Mexico. They prefer a turtle tank with a soft sandy or muddy bottom with plenty of plants for it to lay in wait for its next meal to swim by. The common snapping turtles for sale at My Turtle Store do not make for good community turtles. One of the only exceptions to that rule is to add them as hatchlings, but even then they will need to be moved as they get bigger and more aggressive. We rank the common snapping turtle as an intermediate turtle. Common snapping turtles do bask on logs and downed trees, but prefer to be on the muddy bottoms of ponds and lakes. Preferred water temperatures are mid 70s to high 80s Fahrenheit. Basking temperatures should be kept between the high 80s and mid 90s Fahrenheit. Snapping turtles are omnivorous and will eat anything they can get their jaws on. One of the largest common snapping turtles ever captured in the wild, weighed in at over 80lbs. wow. In the wild they have been recorded eating vegetation, bugs, frogs, snakes and even other turtles. In captivity we feed them, turtle pellets, small pieces of cut up beef heart, worms and live fish. However with that said you must remember to feed all your turtles a variety of different foods. Never feed just one type of food on a regular basis.
