The Peninsular River Cooter Turtle live in a wide variety of waterways including ponds, lakes, rivers and marshes that are heavy in plant vegetation. They are excellent swimmer due to their large webbed feet. The Peninsular River cooter likes to live in packs with other Cooters. These turtles love nothing more than to bask and eat, they can be seen in the wild just about everywhere basking is possible. This turtle is herbivorous, eating anything and everything from plants to snails. Remember always supply your pond turtles with cuttlebones so that they can regulate their calcium intake.
