The health and safety of our turtles and tortoises always come first! Because these animals are ectothermic (cold-blooded), they rely on external temperatures to regulate their body heat. Exposure to cold environments—especially during transit—can be extremely dangerous and may dramatically increase the risk of illness or death.
For this reason: We do not ship live animals to any location where the forecasted low temperature is below 40°F.
To ensure your animal arrives healthy and safe:-
- We check the temperature at your shipping address daily.
- Your order will be shipped as soon as the low temperatures rise above 40°F.
- Your animal is automatically placed on our Weather Hold list at no cost to you.
- We promise to get you your order ASAP!
