Red Belly Turtles are mainly herbivores that like to spend their time basking, so it’s really important that you give them a nice spot to bask in. They do well with some other turtle species, and you can even find them hanging out with Peninsula Cooters in their natural habitats because they are closely related. Red Bellies are great swimmers, too, so it’s a good idea to provide them with deep waters. They are herbivores and do really well with some of the turtle foods that we offer.
