The Peninsular River Cooter Turtle live in a wide variety of waterways includung ponds, lakes, rivers and marshes that are heavy in plant vegetation. They are excelent swimmer due to thier large webbed feet. The Peninsular River cooter likes to live in packs with other Cooters. These turtles love nothing more than to bask and eat, they can be seen in the wild just about everywhere basking is possible. This turtle is herbivorous, eating anything and everything from plants to snails. Remember always supply your pond turtles with cuttlebones so that they can regulate thier calcium intake.
