Native to Southeast Asia, the Giant Asian Pond Turtle has a deep history with Buddhist monks in Bangkok who believe this species has a positive effect on the outcome of their afterlife! This semi-aquatic species has webbed feet, making them excellent swimmers who need nice deep water for swimming. Their pale orange heads are marked with faint black spots and typically have a grey-brown carapace with a serrated rear edge. Giant Asian Pond Turtles are omnivorous that really enjoy munching on water plants, fruits, small invertebrates and our turtle pellets.
